Replace Solenoid Valve JYZ-5 in Philips Steam Iron GC9630

Pam air berada dalam keadaan yang baik. Apabila suis pelepasan stim ditekan, tiada stim dilepaskan. Kemungkinan suis atau solenoid valve bermasalah. Video merangkumi proses menguji solenoid valve menggunakan multimeter. Terima kasih kerana menonton.
The water pump is good. Pressing the steam release button after the beeping buzzer, but no steam released and no clicking sound from the unit. I believe replacing only solenoid part (without the whole valve) would also do the trick and save a lot of time 😉

Iron steam saya jadi tak boleh off. Butang powernya boleh On, tapi tak boleh off. Jadi saya terpaksa tutup di plug utama. Saya bimbang iron steam rosak. Utk makluman saya telah cuba tukar pam sendiri. Seterika berfungsi dengan baik tapi butang off pula tak berfungsi.

Nak check pam rosak ka tidak: Ketika sejuk…Kosongkan/buang air dari tangki boiler. Lepas tu isi tangki air (tangki biru) dengan air dan ON kan stereka. Semasa ON dan pam berbunyi…perhatikan sama ada paras air dalam tangki biru berkurang. Kalau berkurang, maksudnya pam berfungsi dengan baik. Kalau tidak berkurang, pam rosak. Air tidak dipam masuk dalam tangki boiler… Kalau solenoid valve rosak, bila tidak tekan suis stim…stim dah keluar. Atau ketika tekan suis stim, tiada stim keluar walaupun ketika itu ada bunyi click. Pastikan ada air dalam boiler la ketika check solenoid bagus atau tidak. Harap membantu

I have problem with my gc9630! The center protective relay drop when connect my steam generator. When I was opened the case I saw the spark on the solenoid valve. Could you please tell me if this part can do this? Also if try to replace the valve must replace and the other bronze part? Thank you for your time!

may I know which part is the 'center protective relay'? The valve is usually one set. May I know what is the problem? No steam? The solenoid valve not clicking?

@@petrusgoel the protective relay from house power switchboard! The steam iron does not start! I saw some cracks on this part (I follow your disassemble instructions).

@@stelios_sikiotis owh...OK. So probably the coil in that solenoid valve is short between Live and Neutral. That is normal since the valve works in 'hot' operations. Try replacing the solenoid valve set. maybe for a start, If you have ohm meters, check the resistance between the 2 L-N terminals on the coil. Zero or near Zero = faulty coil.

Hi! Since noone is answering me, would you happen to know what to check if steam is discharging without pressing the trigger button. If i press the button there will be more steam, but when i let it go, there will still be steam discharging from my iron. Thank you!

Alright. I just check the valve. There are two posibility. 1. The spring inside the valve getting weak….lead to weak valve closing. 2. The rubber that close the valve prbably getting hard or faulty. These 2 condition can lead to ‘leak’ steam from the boiler to the iron even when the switch is off. My suggestion, replace the valve. You can see the spring on minutes 13.00.

@@petrusgoel Thanks for the quick reply!!! As a matter of fact, 5 minutes ago i dissasembled the valve, put it back, worked for about 30 seconds, then the leak started again. Will replace it with a new one. Thanks again and all the best L.

Just to let you know it was the spring. I cut a piece of wire and put it in the hole under the spring, and now the spring has more power to close the valve. Thanks again!! L.

Selamat pagi tuan. Saya punya model cg9660. Saya nampak wap air yg keluar tu kurang. Kadang2 tak nampak. 1. Water pump ok. Lepas kosongkan tank, tekan on ada air mengalir melalui lubang easy decal. 2. Buat flushing ada air keluar tapi di bahagian atas soleplate saja. 3. Bila tekan ada bunyi click mcm biasa. 4. Wayar host panas Agak2 tuan masalah apa ya?

Mungkin air yang masuk dalam boiler tak banyak. Pam ada masalah….air tak banyak/cepat masuk tangki. Kalau bunyi pam lebih kuat daripada biasa, mungkin pam ada masalah…..ada bebola dalam unit injap pam yang rosak.

1. Pam berfungsi dengan baik dan pam air dari tangki ke boiler? Kalau pam bermasalah isi boiler, stim cair boleh berlaku. 2. Adakah tuan tekan suis ketika iron sudah betul betul panas? Kalau iron belum cukup panas, stim akan cair bila kena permukaan stereka sebab stim lebih panas dari permukaan stereka. Tunggu sehingga stereka panas. Tekan butang stim beberapa kali supaya stim menolak air yang masih ada pada hos…air tu yang biasanya akan meleleh

Pam hanya pam air dari tangki ke dalam boiler. Kalau wap ada keluar dari stereka, kemungkinan ada kebocoran dari solenoid valve. Ini jangkaan saya.. kerana kalau valve ada leak (tak tutup habis) mungkin akan ada leak. Cuba buka valve dan check mekanisma valve, takut ada bendasing yang sangkut kat valve.

Solenoid valve, akan clicking dalam unit apabila suis kat iron ditekan. Kalau takda clicking, itu tandanya solenoid valve problem. Waterpump pula akan pam air masuk ke dalam boiler apabila air kurang dalam boiler. Boleh dengar bunyi pam tu. Nak check pam, …. Masa sejuk, buka drain plug. Keluarkan semua air. Tutup balik, dan isi air dalam tangki. On semula unit, dan pam mesti hidup dan pam air masuk boiler. Boleh lihat paras air turun kalau pam bidup.
