A couple of more questions: did you replace the EGR washers or just clean them ? And why did you reduce the EGR intake ? Increase the performance ? Also is it useful to put some grease on the the glow plugs thread so they come easily in the future?

I cleaned the EGR parts and made the reducer plate. The intake manifold stays cleaner. The glow plugs turn better when oiled to the right moment.

Thank you very much for this video. I have CRDI 2.2 which is almost the same. Glow plugs are a pain in the a$$ on this engine. The mirror tip very useful, I never thought of it ! Also covering the hoses great careful job. They seem easy to get out and I have been sooooo scared to break them so I havent' tried yet. Even the Hyundai dealer was scared and refused to do the replacement. Why did you take out the engine undercover shield ? How much time did you spend? Thanks a lot and well done !

The engine base cover had to be removed in order to drain the coolant liquid. It took about 10 hours (including filming).
