Made a video showing how to replace the toilet water fill valve assembly. I couldn't get the water to stop running into the tank so I had to replace the entire assembly. Paid $7.48 for the new fill assembly at Home Depot.

Although this is an older video, I bought the exact same replacement...got to admit mine was from Amazon (strike one), but all the instructions were the same (likely because it was the same universal product). As a 62 year old woman, I take pride in being able to fix the little things, and your video helped to assure me that I was doing things properly. I now have a fully functioning, non-running toilet, and I did it myself!! Have no fear DIY women...there are some things that are better left to professionals, but I'll be darned if I am going to pay plumber premiums for the easy, do it yourself stuff!

I did it! Had my tablet next to the toilet so I could follow you step-by-step. It was only $6.98 at Home Depot, decided to also get a new flapper (cheap), just in case. The only trouble I had was unscrewing the assembly underneath, it was solid tight. Afraid I'd break the toilet tank by forcing it, I sprayed WD-40 on it, eventually it did help loosen it. Thanks so much for your video, I had no idea a toilet was supposed to be so quiet (Lol). As another woman home-owner, it feels good to fix it myself and save paying a plumber $200 minimum.

Just a reminder to those who may not know or realize. But the water shutoff valve, like at 0:30 that you need to shut off, it's a good idea to "exercise" this every once in a while. I do ours ever 3 months. I just set a continuing reminder with Google Assistant to remind me. I just close it and open it, a few times to "clean" out the ball stop. This keeps it working and not to seize. I totally forgot to do that with the ones under the bathroom sink and they both seized.

When you have a toilet make sure you always clean out the water when you put in a new phone wow so way the tank doesn't get all dirty in the football doesn't get all once you put it in your Fluidmaster fill valve on the tank so clean then you can put in but if you have no flow Bob will probably have a hole in them you might as well take it out
