I swapped out the single swivel chair with a Rec Pro swivel recliner. Love the chair but first long trip it de-assembled itself as 6 screws fell out going down the road. I'll use some lock-tite and hopefully prevent further issues. Still planning on the recliner swap out, just need more lock-tite.... Interesting how you take a RV and make it what you want. I've told RV salesmen over the years, it's obvious RV designers aren't into RV camping.

We bought the same recliners for our Class C except non electric and in Toffee color. Ours were replacing a jackkife sofa that was incredibly uncomfortable. Our slide was not as deep as yours so we had to build it out to accept the chairs. My husband did an awesome job. It looks original. We used electrical conduit wall clamps on the front and back bars over a piece of 1" pipe to attach our recliners to the floor. We greatly enjoy your channel and look forward to your drama free videos and laidback attitude. We also plan to keep our 5 year old RV for many years.

On the lighting, my class-C has a 12 vdc sconce lamps on the back wall, one on each side of the window, which will be above the back of the sofa. Perfect for reading or anything. It also has a 120 vac outlet on the same back wall so that part is also done. Thanks

Forgot to add a question. Since my crappy dinette is the only other bed beside bedroom, when I lose that my son is out of luck when he's with us. In your opinion when you have them reclined all the way out are they suitable/intended as sleeping positions? I went to the site and found jackknife and pull-outs, but neither recline, that's kind of a buzz killer. Thanks again.

We installed the RecPro recliners 2 years ago. The material is already starting to split on the back of one chair. RecPro would not stand behind their product but wanted to sell us a replacement back for $150. We declined that figuring that that one would probably do the same after awhile. Instead, we are having covers made for the backs at a local upholstery shop with color coordinated durable material. I suggest anyone using RecPro products keep an eye out for splitting fabric and contact RecPro before the warranty is up.

I've been looking forward to this video because I intend to install the 67" version of these recliners in my rig once it warms up outside. Originally, I was considering the manual version but the powered version is pretty sweet. I noticed they are 120v AC, is there a manual override in case you are boondocking and don't want to power up an inverter just to recline? It looked like you plugged in a DC transformer for each base so they are actually DC motors. I wonder if they make a DC hardware option?
@RVwithTito6 жыл бұрын
I don't think there's a manual override or DC option (from RecPro). I run my inverter most of the time, so no problem for me. The motor runs on 24 volt so I plan on installing a 12-24v step-up converter like this (amzn.to/2CQwjep) so I can power it from my batteries. I'll be sure to post something if/when I get that working.

You can also buy rechargeable battery packs for recliners. They are easy to install, just attach inline with existing cords. Are the recliners 12 volt or did you have to setup the wiring?
@RVwithTito3 жыл бұрын
They operate on 120VAC not DC.

So Brian, you have an inverter so you don't have to either be hooked up to shore power or have a generator on to make these move?
@RVwithTito6 жыл бұрын
Yes. I have an inverter. I'm also going to try and bypass the AC and power these from my batteries.
@brucehair60614 жыл бұрын
Brian, those recliners look awesome and great job on all your videos. Two questions: 1. Were you able to bypass the AC to power the recliners directly from your battery? I'm concerned about getting power recliners and not being plugged into a power source. 2. How do you think the Rec Pro recliners compare to the Thomas Payne recliners?

Did you bolt or secure the chairs? I miss that part.

Not yet, but I will. See pinned comment at top.

Brian, how much room did you have inside your slide opening? I see your chairs are listed as 70"...is that a 'true' size? I've got exactly 70" inside my slide walls...69.5" if I account for the trim on each corner of the slide opening. Thanks for the help...
@RVwithTito6 жыл бұрын
My opening is exactly 71". The chair width is right at 69" plus a little extra cushion in the arm rest that would take it to 70". They could be squished down to fit 69" without looking or feeling weird. Hope that helps. I'm sitting in them as I'm writing this 😉

@@RVwithTito Is the slide 36" deep? That's what I have and have ordered the 67" powered set. Another user said they fit fine in the 36" slide, but I'm still wondering how it will impact with the window shades... thinking of installing mini blinds there?

hey brian where is your black and grey tank clean video???

Looks great. That does that setup weigh ?
@RVwithTito6 жыл бұрын
The RecPro site says 197 lbs. They didn't seem that heavy, but I had them in pieces. I'm actually planning on getting rid of my 4K generator (located below the slide), so that should free up 300+ pounds. The couch I took out was actually pretty heavy too.

Hi Brian. Been watching your videos and have seen the great work you’ve done. Really cool. We’ve been looking at the same RecPro recliners. Just wondering how they’ve been holding up for you? Thanks. We’ve subscribed to your site and look forward to more videos. Thanks again, John & Vickie.

Hi Brian, I use a word I made up, getupability. Our Montana High Country has seats that lack getupablity. How is getting up from those seats?
@RVwithTito6 жыл бұрын
Getupability rating is pretty good. Since they sit on the slide out it's adding another 3 inches or so off the floor. So standing right up and out is pretty smooth.

@@RVwithTito I currently have to push myself up from behind and I'm not alone. I have seen other in my camper do the same. When reclined mine are pretty comfortable. I would hate to order a new one and have that problem. Your input is very helpful

Hi, It's tine to replace my theater seating in my Montana High Country. I would really appreciate an update on your RecPro seats. Comfort, durability and most importantly getupability. Thanks, Gary
@IPING4U3 жыл бұрын
Update! We have had our RecPro recliners for well over a year now and we are full time so they get a lot of use. As far as "getupability I would rate them fair. The fabric is s very good quality. Our problem is they have gotten a little soft on the bottom cushion which allows us to feel a bar from the back cushion, it's pretty uncomfortable. After talking to RecPro customer service and coordinating a shipping address they have replaced them both. I can't ask for better customer. service.
