I purchased an official GM replacement regulator from RockAuto --- more expensive but I didn't want any Chinese parts. This GM part also required to replace the connector to the motor. Both leads from the new connector are white so you don't know which goes where. I thought I would connect right to right and left to left ---- NOPE, just the reverse. As far as my window being stuck down, it was easier to get to the bolts that hold the window to the regulator than if the window was fully up and it was easier to mark the position of the window before you remove it and also it was easier to properly position the window with the new regulator 3/4 the way down rather than have the regulator in the fully up position. Many plastic parts so I will be moving my windows up and down less frequently. A real mickey mouse setup

Shipping charges I’m sure have increased in the last three years. I don’t think that’s being dishonest. They just may not offer cheaper shipping options.

Thank You so much for this video. I'm having window problems with my 2003 convertible and need to do the exact same fix you did in this video. Many, Many thanks --- I will get the part numbers and order the parts 2nite. Seems to me you have to have the window all the way to the top to unbolt the window from the regulator. What if it's stuck all the way down??.

You may be able to still unbolt when you remove door panel. There are holes behind the weather cover and the speaker that may give you adequate room to access bolts in your case. Good luck.

My window actuator makes sound when I push the button but it doesn’t roll down the window. Do you think I need to replace everything like you did? Or something is seized because of sitting for winter and I can get everything to work by just loosening and tightening a bunch of bolts?

I don’t know enough about it to tell you either way but it would sound like you would need a whole new regulator.
