Hi!Why did you say to not use an impact wrench to remove the center bolt?

Because the high vibration impact can damage the sensitive parts on the column, cluster, dash and steering rack.

I have a question, I have a 2008 CLK 350 and I need to change my brakes (pads and rotors.) Is that something that is fairly straightforward? I've heard that changing brakes in general isn't too difficult with the right tools, but I was wondering if there's any special quirks with Mercedes

No special quirks, simple, but if you haven't done that previously on any car I suggest paying a mechanic to do so, probably 1 hour labour worths the mess...
