Thanks for the comment! what would you like to see next?

@@ProcessBasedHunterreviews of things like boots, field dressing kits, Bino harnesses, broadheads, meat carrier capable packs, tripods, glass, etc. Really all the stuff that you spend a significant amount of time using. I felt like I had to do multiple hours of searching for each item, to determine what I would guess to be the best fit. Having someone with your wealth of experience narrow that down to a couple “best” options, will be appreciated by those of us that are severely lacking in the experience department.

I haven’t finished the video yet- but a suggestion on these replaceables that’s helped me is to bring a toothbrush- the bristles help clean the fat and blood out of the blade mechanism with just water and make removing and replacing the blades easier! I just found your channel from Joseph von Benedict and would love to join you some year- it won’t be this but maybe for 2025… or if you ever wanna hunt Montana- shoot me a comment. (Adult onset hunter still learning)

To me it came down to weight. I’ve not tried all of them. But the replaceable blade knives I have (havalon and outdoor edge 3.5”)and 4 extra blades weighed more than my preferred knife a 4” rapala filet knife AND a small sharpening stone. Add to that the fact that I found it difficult to not punch holes in hide with the replaceable type and it’s a no brainer for me. I do find them better for detailed work like skinning a skull.

I just picked up the Havalon RedI which costs $100 CND at BassPro. 2 blades set you back $25 before tax. Funny thing, I wish it was a standard blade as both the handle and blade design is nice. However, it is rather silly as an EDC knife as the blade is thin but your slicing will be stopped by the blade attachment mech. I only got it because it was used, so I didn't pay the insane $100 when you can get 2 Ontario RAT I for that price. I do own two Outdoor Edge a orange without thumb stud and an OD with thumb stud.
