I know a much easier way . to change the bulb look under the wheel well towards the front of the car . theres a philips head screw that holds a little plate remove the screw and plate and you can change them in minutes .

Low beam you can go that route,can reach the high beam from there.

Even going through that wheel well access hole is challenging. You need 2 hands to seat the bulb and then snap it in. Challenging!

Thanks for this. As a tall man, I have large hands. Going through the "port" in the wheel well for the passenger-side lamp is a royal pain with large hands. Took me 45 - 60 minutes to replace that one bulb the one time I did it (now I just pay Walmart the $7 to do it). Next time that light goes out (or I get an LED bulb or kit), I'll give this a shot so I don't have to sit at Walmart waiting around. Thanks!

If you go under the tire, there is place labeled "bulb access" and when you remove that you have access to your blub. :)

That is true. You can get 1 hand in that hole. That makes things very challenging.

There ISN'T ANY WAY! you got your pork chop hand behind that coolant tank and through those lines. The hose is too short to lift the tank to get your hand in there. I moved the windshield wiper fluid and barely made that to change the high beam! Low beam you can go thru the access panel behind wheel well

You do no the weather guards by by the tire have a access panel to get to the headlight rite? Instead of doing this way, the much harder way

Why didn't you use the access panel in the wheel well for the low beam light replacement? It's a single phillips head screw and you have straight on access.

Moved the coolant reservoir and now it won't go back in. Any suggestions

How did you get your hand in there for the regular bulb after I bolting the tank..? Isn't as easy as it sounds and looks...

for the regular bulb its ok but for the high beam it can be a pain if u got a big hand it took me about 10 minutes.let me know if i can help some how thanks..

Should have read the comments below... After watching the video, I tried to displace the coolant bottle as the video suggests... NO GOOD. After removing the two nuts as suggested in the video, it became clear that the hoses connected to the reservoir would not let it move much... waste of time. I then tried to squeeze my fingers past the rigid brake lines in the fender well... Impossible! I was dumbfounded. I couldn't believe that Ford would do this! It occurred to me that If I could remove the plastic insert inside the fender well, I could probably get at the bulb from below. When shining my droplight into the fender well, I found the panel with the words BULB ACCESS. It has one phillips head screw holding it in place... remove it, and you can reach inside and do what needs to be done... Be warned though... the wires that go to the bulb are very short. I was not able to comfortably pull the socket back through the access hole to pull the old bulb and install the new one. I had to "blindly" put both hands through the hole into the fender and do it by "feel." All is good now... two headlights again! Good luck with yours!

There is an access port in the wheel well. You take the tire off and do it through that.

Don't have to take the tire off. Turn wheel maximum left. Use shorty screwdriver to unscrew access cover in wheel well.

Thanks! I have an '08 MKZ - this saved me a lot of time replacing the passenger side low beam bulb. The procedure in the manual is way more complicated (put the car on a lift; remove an inner fender panel; and so on). I moved the coolant reservoir and squeezed my hand in to get the bulb - it worked!

Don't know if someone said this, but there's actually a panel underneath the wheel well. Just remove that, one screw
