I found the same crack on my mom's maytag. I repaired it with JB weld epoxy. 2 years and it's doing fine. It had to be a design flaw.

Thanks for your video, I have replaced the suspension rods on the Bravos Series 300, but I still have a leak problem just when my wife does the sheets. It doesn't slosh water any other time with any of the other loads of laundry. Any thoughts?

The pump housing on these washing machine pumps are factory-installed during the manufacturing process and cannot be separately replaced. Even if you could, you the manufacturer does not sell the housing separately.

I have the Bravo XL, it leaks during the wash cycle. Leak is coming from back left side above the ring. But like I said only during the wash cycle. Any ideas?

You'll need to remove the inner basket. It comes out pretty easily. Search my channel here for "Cabrio bearing" and you'll find a video that shows you how to remove it.

Thanks, Viper. I agree-- I'm not a big fan of these washers, either, although it is a little more robust than the original Fisher-Paykel design (no failure-prone diverter valve!).

Is this pump located by the detergent "cup" on the front left hand side? We have for over two years now (despite four service calls on it) had little puddles form under what seems to be random conditions around the bottom left foot of the washer (I have the Maytag XL Bravos) and the one it ALWAYS happens on is the Clean washer cycle, when nothing but water is in the tub....I'm wondering if this couldn't be our problem & culprit maybe...

Just now starting to look for the reason my Maytag bravo xl is leaking water. It seems to be leaking in the wash cycle. That is when I noticed it leaking. Any suggestions ? Thank you, John

I have a Maytag Bravos machine and they are junk. I am now faced with changing the pump for the 3rd time. Yes, it is always coins that somehow make it to the pump. I know that they should be removed from clothing. But, there should be a screen or something to prevent them from entering the prop housing. I'm sure there has been a lot of profit selling pumps after the sale of the machine. I'm thinking the 3rd time is a charm. It may be time to replace it.

Nice one oh holy brother of the great appliance mystry man. Changed one of those pumps today - mine had a rubber band wrapped around it that I could not get out. It pays (me) if you don't check your pockets. lol.

Thanks, My was due to Coins in the pump. My kids don't understand the concept of emptying their pockets before you wash. Question: I still see coins in the tub, but can't reach them. What's the best way to get them out?

We have a small puddle after our load, but also the clothes are still pretty damp at the end of the cycle, although the wash tub seems to be spinning normally. Can that also be caused by the drain pump being cracked or bad?

Thanks for the excellent video! Just took the back off mine looking for a leak. Turns out it was the outlet for the fabric softener reservoir. It was partially clogged with coagulated fabric softener and shooting water out sideways.

The error code on mine says it is a slow drain f71, but I've gone through it, disassembled it, and all looks good. When it drains, it drains well, but it seems like it just tries to keep draining even after the water is out and yet thinks there is still water in it? Is there a sensor that goes along with the pump that might need cleaned? Thanks if you can help!

Yes. Little clear tube runs up to a switch near the controls. Hope that helps if not solved already
