Replacing a Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor on a 2000 Toyota Echo

After a breakdown, we had to replace the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor on the Toadsteads 2000 Toyota Echo. We thought we'd bring ya'll along for this easy fix.

This is exactly the type thing that I like about my 2002 Echo: It's so easy to work on. It's the Japanese equivalent to an original VW Beetle. Running strong at 268k miles.

Wow mine has 151.000 miles and I was concerning about the high milleage ...so I dont worry any more😂

I have one of those cheapo 4 bit screwdrivers you see near the checkout line at Autozone. I used the smaller of the 2 Philips bits.

I bet that was a monster tow bill if you had to have it brought from Texas to Miss. Ouch!! Out here where I live there is a rip-off tow company that has the police account. They charge outrageous prices and the police get mad at you if you mention to them that the tow company seems to way overcharge.

The tow bill ended up being the gas and a tow dolly. We towed it back ourselves. Lucky for us this car is pretty small and light. Thanks for watching!

My 2001 Toyota echo when I start it it has a high rev for 3 seconds and when I put it in drive while driving it shakes an when I brake I can feel some resistance you think I might have the same problem
