Replacing Blend Door Actuator in 2012 Charger (1 of 3)

The drivers side blend door actuator in my 2012 Charger Pursuit started clicking very loudly any time it was energized, so I purchased a replacement and set about replacing it.
Unfortunately , things did not go well the first few days of trying to get this done. I finally figured things out on the 4th day, and I was able to complete the job and had a drivable car again after so long without one.
It didn't have to be so difficult, but it turned out that way for a couple of (preventable) reasons. This video and the others like it in the playlist were published in the hopes they could prove useful to anyone else out there that is about to undertake this job but is doing some research first.

which one is the blend door and which is the mode door? The one that controls temperature is closest to you right and the mode door is closest to the engine?

The actuator(s) closest to the engine (and in front of the heater core) will control the temperature of the air, so that one would be labeled the blend door actuator. The actuator closest to the driver/passenger will control which vents the air is blowing out of, so that one would be labeled the mode door actuator. Technically they are all interchangeable though; the same part should work in any of the locations. If the part is OE or OEM (Mopar), that’s likely true 100% of the time. If it’s aftermarket, that may not always be the case, from what I found, anyway…
