The back mudguard on my Brompton was damaged, so I thought I'd do a video about replacing it as anything on a Brompton is a bit fiddly.

Thanks Daniel, your video is so helpful. I have a 24 year old Brompton M3L, which as you can imagine needs some care every now and then. Most recently my rear mudguard started breaking at the central mounting point at the top of the arch that rests on the ground. I have just ordered a replacement part and will try to replace it in the next week or so. Your calibration for the 3 speed hub gear tensioner is also very helpful (on gear 2!) Thanks.

When you're taking off the stop disk, you were only putting a wrench on the lock nut that holds the stop disc in place. You also have to have one on the part closer to the brakes to hold the whole assembly in place or actually break that larger nut loose to get the stop disk itself off of the post, or adjust it. .. and you have to go the other direction, make that nut go away from the plastic disc then the plastic disk itself can screw up and down that post until you relock that nut you put your wrench on against it to set its location

Really? I’d like to swap an L mudguard for an R so I can add a rack

Great vid, especially as many Brompton riders will be doing this several times! Just a shame you haven't adopted Edd China style orange gloves! I deflate my rear tyre before removing it to resolve clearance issues with the brakes.

That's how Brompton and every review I've seen recommends removing wheels.

Great video. How much for the whole rear fender kit?
