Just got the P26CB code a couple hours ago on my way from work. Drove straight to auto zone to check the code, starting driving home and noticed temperature gauge rising fast. Pulled over and towed to repair shop. 115k miles

@@gambollo use a big funnel that fits tight on the cap housing of the radiator,and fill it 1/4 of the funnel with coolant.Then start the car and be looking for the bubbles,when you don’t see no more bubbles then all the air is out of the system.

Also though, before you start, disconnect the hose at the EGR and put a towel under it, fill the radiator until coolant starts coming out that hose then push the hose back on and move the clamp back up. Fill the overflow tank. Fill the funnel as the OP states, run the car at 1700 to 2000 rpm so that the system fully feeds the entire paths/channels. See the video also by The Car Care Nut.

Found the motor for $95 on amazon. My dad’s shop tried to charge me $560 for the part. $750 for the labor. I told them I’d fix it myself and they laughed. 🤷🏽♂️ Question, which sealant glue would you recommend for the gasket?

Good question,but to be honest I don’t know if it could be repaired but taking in consideration that it’s a WATER PUMP I would rather swap with new one,and you’ll be more safe👍🏼

Yes it can be repaired, the propeller inside is what seizes up and can be taken out and replaced for around 40 bucks.

lol I have old 85 Toyota pickup and old 90 Lexus ls400 made of metal water pump without nonsense electric stuff. Change water pump each 100,000 to 150,000 mile for my Toyota pickup and Lexus ls400. Im look at modern car have short lifespan of water pump fail at 30,000 mile to 60,000 mile of stupid electric on it. 😢😭

Your video showed why the e-water pump failed. Someone put Toyota red coolant instead of pink in it, which caused the failure.
