I just read all your comments, I don't usually read comments, The usual BS. Every here has been perfect right on. I swear the way you did every angel shot, and every description explained simply, was the best I'd ever seen on youtube. I really do hope you make more videos, like this, so that people will have much better confidence themselves.

Nice to see a how too video where the person making the video doesn't take the 1st 5 minutes showing themselves and just talking about themselves. This get's right to the point and very clear instructions and great video showing what he is doing. BEST video I saw on how to change the pads. Seems pretty simple and a repair shop would charge you 200 bucks for labor if not more telling you how difficult these are to change :)

This video should have a LOT more views. One of the best car repair video's I have seen. You could actually see CLEARLY what you were doing as you explained it. This looks pretty easy and so I am going to change mine myself because of this video. Thanks :)

I have to do this same job on a minivan changing both front brake pads (2003 DODGE CARAVAN SE V6 3.3L). Do you happen to know if i need to change both rear brake pads?
@s33therfan5 ай бұрын
I would check them , a lot of times the parking pads might be fine. They usually do not wear that much unless the parking brake gets left on by accident. Thanks for watching.
@AlwaysDiagnoseVehicleFirst5 ай бұрын
@@s33therfan I think I was wrong it seems like the minivan has rear drum brake shoes instead of brake pads like the two in front has.

@S333Therfan Good Afternoon brother and nice to meet you! I really love your video its very helpful and detailed. Are you able to tell me the names or add links to this video description of the lubricants, grease and loctite so i can buy them at the store or online as well please?
@s33therfan3 жыл бұрын
This is by far the best slide grease , it also conditions rubber. amzn.to/2VYhNy7 They offer bigger tubes but this will work great. amzn.to/3AJCXPH Thank you for the terrific feedback, and thanks for watching.

@@s33therfan right now im installing new rotors and brakes and right now im installing the new brakes and they are not snapping in and im stuck at this point.
@s33therfan3 жыл бұрын
Is it possible the part store gave you the wrong brake pads. Sometimes I get pads that are tight and need angled or start one end at a time etc. However the best I remember these went into place with ease. Hope this helps.

@@s33therfan I installed the breaks the best i could but they still didn't snap in but right now i got both front brand new rotors and brakes installed and now im stuck on bleeding the brakes i dont know how to do it is there anyway you can help with that please?
@s33therfan3 жыл бұрын
Yes, the bleeding process is really a 2 person job without a vacuum bleeder tool. You need someone to hold down/pump the brake while releasing pressure and assuring the reservoir stays full. Mostly I just push the piston back on the caliper unless the brake fluid is dirty and needs changed. Thanks again.

How can I tell if i have drum breaks or disc breaks from looking?
@s33therfan2 жыл бұрын
The town & country or caravan wheels whether wheel covers or alloy wheels are difficult to see the brakes. If you have wheel covers you may be able to pop that off and see. The only other way would be taking the wheel off to know for sure. It may be possible to look from underneath at the rear of the van and tell. I am not sure as far as models and trim as to any rhyme or reason they use one or the other . Thanks for the feedback.
@shnuzels16092 жыл бұрын
@@s33therfan I can see the breaks through the wheel cover completely..and the front looks like disc but back I’m not sure.. they look diff from front but it looks like a disc too just farther back and thicker.
@s33therfan2 жыл бұрын
The first link is a drum and the second link disc. Most likely its disc with the parking pads inside the hub. This can give a visual hope this helps. amzn.to/3PKcI3M amzn.to/3zcTeh8

You need 4 inch or bigger. I used a 4 inch. 3 inch won't work. Too small.
