I have an old 580 and it has pins that can take grease, might be an option for you

If a manufacture neglects to provide a grease fitting for a part that should have it, we make our legitimate complaint known to the company and we definitely drill and tap it for a grease fitting if the part provides us the ability to put one there.

Agree 100%! For this one the bolt was so small I didn't want to drill it so am leaving it as is. I did drill the lower pins on the outriggers though. They never stick anymore!

@@dirtyshirtworkshop Cool to hear that you was at least able to get grease fittings in some of the pins. Yep its so nice getting to just give a shot of grease now n then versus things binding up down the road and cause much more work to be done than what we already have to get done. Aside from other machinery, we also learned very quickly to never rely on sealed bearings and especially not if it came from communist china the land of mass produced junk. We bought a tractor 10 years ago that they put sealed bearings and therefore no grease fittings in the mower deck spindles. 5 years later one them came to a screeching halt and destroyed the spindle. After inspecting the other spindle, it wasnt going to last much longer. Craftsman wanted an arm and a leg for a replacement spindle which we laughed before hanging up the phone on them. So we ended up buying the same tractor off of craigslist that was used, drilled n tapped the spindles for grease fittings, and now we at least got our previous tractor for spare parts
