The only thing i would have done differently is put blocking behind that first riser to keep the dirt from comming out under the stairs.

Wait wait wait. A slide was an option and you didn't take it? 🤣

Nothing worst than carrying something down stairs that are too shallow. Especially in an opening that is atypical like a basement bulkhead.

I'm an old Vietnam vet who used to be able to do what you do but I'm too damn old to do it now, but I can enjoy your work vicariously and remember the days when I could do, what you do... Thanks for the great videos!

You trying to get that tread unstuck during the outtakes made me laugh so hard until you finally got it loose. Good old slapstick, only this was for real. 🤣😂😆

I think I would’ve dug out all the dirt and pour some concrete

Very smart idea putting a third stringer in the middle of the stairs where there wasn't one originally.

I love how you show us how to do this. And even tell us other ways to do it. It looks fantastic. Those should be there for another 75 years.

I really appreciate the “how I vs. how to” comments at the end. Such a professional.

It's great that you include the bloopers...the actual reality of the jobs.

The bloopers made my day..because THAT is my life. It’s stuck! Followed by a lot of swearing. ❤

The drill jump bloopers are my favorite. Thanks for explaining rise and run. Another important reason why the rise and run have to be the same is that it's a trip hazard since the human brain assumes stair-steps are all equal.

Great job. I particularly enjoyed the outtakes at the end. I feel less inadequate.

Wee-hoo! I've waited 2 years to see you do this. Thumbs-up, even though I haven't watched the video yet!! Now that I've watched it (thanks for all the good information), I would put a board in front of the bottom step to keep dirt from inching onto the cement slab. Just my thought-process! Thanks for a great job!!
