Interested in seeing how the new Fuel handles Trestle Bike Park's jump lines? I got you covered: • Testing The 2023 Gen 6...
I've been a Trek fanboy for a while. I seriously love my Remedy, and have been riding Remedys for a few iterations.
So when I found myself dreaming about big wheels, my first thought was to get the Slash. But every description of that bike boasted about its race capabilities. I wanted something more playful. I wanted a 29" Remedy
And then BAM: Trek dropped Parallel II.
If I paused the video at just the right moment, I could see that Brandon Semenuk and Kade Edwards were riding something special: a yet to be released bike, obviously capable of big hits and playful antics. That bike turned out to be the 2023 Fuel Ex (Gen 6)
And somehow I convinced myself having never ridden the bike that it would be my next bike.
As the video says, I'm still not so certain how I feel about it. I still have to dial this bike in before I can make any decisions. In the past, I've hopped from one generation of the Remedy onto the next, and immediately felt at home. Thats not the case here.
But I am excited to try and dial this thing in.
As it's shown in this video, I have the bike set up as a 29er front and rear. I have the Yellow token in the rear suspension (set at 24% sag) and two tokens in the front (set at 24% sag).
I've since mulleted the bike out, dropped a larger token in the rear and removed one from the front. I'll keep you posted on my feelings toward the bike as I continue to get more rides in!
In the meantime, let me know your thoughts? Remedy vs Fuel vs Slash?
