Replacing old Mercedes W213 Avangard Front grill with Panamericana GT AMG Grill

Hy Guys,
I've bought the Panamericana grille from AliExpress and it cost just $120, you can find it in black or with chrome elements like this one.

You can find the same Panamericana grille for Mercedes C Class, S Class, CLA, and other Mercedes models.
The car from the video is a 2017 Mercedes #E350 #E-Class #9GTronic #W213 #PanamericanaGT #Kühlergrill you can find the same grill for C Class.
In order to remove the front grill, you need to remove the Bumper first, you can do it alone but is better to have some help when you take of and when you put the bumper back in place.
It took me almost 2 hours to do the disassembly and installation of the Bumper and Grille.

Exactly. I was this close to buying this better looking grill. I'll install a lift in my garage, lift it, take 30 minutes to dismantle electronics, break and lose screws and plastic pins, install it, put everything back together perfectly and make sure it works and doesn't cause huge problems ... then I'll pay someone about 400 dollars to install it 'better. [Plus the cost of the grill] If I could snap my fingers and thr GT grill goes on...maybe. That "ain't" happening anytime soon. Nothing like putting a new grill on an old car. Yes, it looks better but, you aren't fooling anyone and it takes away from the car's original intent. I'm still debating an Alcantara wheel and the huge problems that implies. Airbag, electronics, function and other. Maybe a stitched on wheel with carbon stickers or carbon plastic plate. That's bastardizing the vehicle. I remove everything when I get an A or B service as to not embarrass myself. It's not an AMG (-I own one as well-) and it's not a new car/drift car. You pick up your mother's medicine and mutant girlfriend in most owner's cases. 😀

@@SRMB1 I get it. You're all psyched about doing this. Don't cherry pick what you want to reply to. It does look great but, you go through all that for a front grill. Not what I'll be wasting my time on. If it slid out and maybe a couple of plastic bolts, maybe. I was disgusted by just removing the splitter and replacing the three sections with body colored ones. That was about 200 steps less than the front grill. Sure, if you could snap your fingers or even have this take an hour. I'd rather pay someone to do it. Or own a new E63 S. (Which I do) Read my first line, "this better looking grill". Well done by you. I like driving my older E350 more. I mentioned it looks better later on in my comment and that I wanted to do it. Do your thing and be so glitter sparlky Unicorn about it.

Thanks I just changed my grill to a diamond grill and you guys helped me out alot, for those that think its hard, its really not , It took me about 2 hours to swap and I did it in my garage. It was just as simple as the video shows, but I guess you must be handy with tools and be mechanically inclined first

To remove the w204 grill it takes 2 Minutes.. This is like 5hour job if you cant lift the car up

I have a lift in my upstairs bathroom. It would take 30 seconds if you had the Mercedes F1 team being assisted by an official Mercedes service department coupled with FCP Euro handing one the tools. (Really takes about 10 minutes plus the time to lift the car. Plus that 20 dollar lift? I guess those are free. Just to make an older car look like the 'better grill of the new one.

@@WhittyPvP Not much really to do with the time or effort or tools as I have those covered and I actually trust myself to do it better than someone else. It has more to do with all the clips that could break or are already bent on an older vehicle even with the utmost care. Slight alignment issues arise and become larger rattling ones. I admit to not being too eager to tamper with the factory-fit, though so this is just me saying that a relatively simple clip on replacement is fine...too much beyond that and I tend to stay stock. It is a very nice looking upgrade though.

You welcome, is a rivet gun, the new grill will have new rivets and you need to drill the old ones and put the new ones with a rivet gun. You will find a rivet gun on eBay for 10$

I'm half way through this job. I've got the bumper off, GTR grill in (with a bit of a gap at the bottom of the chrome). The Mercedes star badge does not fit the GTR grill. I've tried for hours, spun it every direction. The clips on the back are nowhere near touching and the star doesn't even want to fit in. Car is 2013 e400 with the "amg" 2 horizontal line factory grill. Did you have to get a new star badge (mine has distronic, so just plastic badge), or did you modify the original? Any tips greatly appreciated and I will attack it again and hopefully finish it tomorrow. What a nightmare of a job!!

I’m all for making this beauties even more beautiful but from a regular production Benz to a diamond is a good idea but…. the panamericana? I don’t think so cause as we all know only the top AMG’s use that grille!! The 63S are usually the models the have it!! And remember is a thin line between making your Benz look cool and ridiculous!! Is just my opinion!!!

Seems pretty easy. No thank you. If I was shipped the grill for free, it would not go on the vehicle. Part is about 100-300 dollars (depending) and the labor would be about 400 dollars and time. The car was built with what it has. You might as well put a Bugatti badge on the vehicle and call it a day or get a newer vehicle. Take a 1970s Cadillac and put a CTS-V grill on it. Bastardizes it a bit. I do think it looks much better but, time, cost and poser looks are not worth it. I slap a Nike Jordan 1 logo on Nike Jordan flip flops. 😉
