Replacing rear deck speakers in Chrysler 300 with sunscreen

My sound shop wouldn’t even bother trying to install speakers in the rear frack. This video just gave me the balls to do it myself. This Saturday I’ll be outside at 8am doing it. Good looking man. I gave up on those speakers 4 yrs ago. It’s on now!!!

I can't thank you enough for this video. I'm a DIYer and own a 2014 300S. I'd rather try it than take it to a shop. The clicks started first and then shortly after the shade started acting shady, so I stopped using it.

There is a lil pin slot that needs to be snapped into. It’s at the very very bottom. It took me a minute to find it. I had the same problem just forgot to put it in the video

God sent you haha. I’m about to do the same thing, already have two alpine type r 12s in the trunk, going to delete the rear 6x9s and pad in that whole rear deck to eliminate rattle and install new speakers on front doors and dash. Hoping the holes from rear deck fake sub hole and 6x9s allow for more bass to enter cabin. Thanks brother!

Front door speakers don’t give u vocals. Just bass. If u can use the rear deck speaker wire to the front doors then u will get a full range sound from the front. Vocals only coming from front dash and rear deck speakers. I might disconnect my front door speakers.

I removed the three screws, but I couldn't get it to become loose. There's part of the deck lid cover on the other side of the shade. Can you help me understand how to finish getting the shade out.

To remove the shade, you would have to unhook the driver side first kind of pull up and out at the same time. There is a groove that it goes inside and once it is removed from the groove, the passenger side will slide right out.

Dang. Wish mine came out like that. I did all that and took the 3 screws out and that thing is still stuck in there. It doesn't go anywhere. I think I'll probly just cut the 6x9 screws out from the trunk and mount em different.

Interesting. The beats system still has a dash sub in the back? I would swap that out also. Why Pioneer and not infinity or kicker? The factory rears do seem muffled. Wonder how much better it sounds after. Everyone’s ear is different. Nice video

No question is a dumb question boss. But yes you can. But the front door speakers are only made for bass in most models. So if your looking for mids and highs you’ll have to run separate wiring. Really just depends on what kinda sound your looking for. Hope it helps🤟🏾🤟🏾

Good video bruh... I got the same car, just a 2017. I'm gonna replace all the factory speakers in mine. My question is do you think all new speakers (8" subs included) will be ok with the radio? Or should I install amps and crossovers due to it possibly being too much on the radio?

In all honesty I would probably go with a crossover and an amp because the factory does not put out a lot of wattage therefore you’re not gonna get a quality sound out of it but if you install a crossover or a line out converter with the amplifier the clarity will be night and day

My sunscreen doesn't roll down properly. It doesn't go all the way back into the deck. When you raise the sunscreen it has a some slack in it. Any suggestions?

Yes there is some pins that it snaps into along the track is it going to be towards the bottom of your rear windshield make sure they are in like a groove almost that keeps it on track and in position when it’s going up it’s kind a hard to see if you’re not looking for it but it’s at the very bottom

I would try to remove the ground wire from the battery if you have someone that can do that for you. It should reset everything if it doesn't then the screen will need to be replaced. Hope that helps

The headache is taking the whole front bumper off to install the front Headlights . The car made on a Mercedes platform. The starter in a odd spot to really work on . The alternator on the bottom man the car ok , but, I wouldn’t buy another one. The 300c has to many issues. They burn coils and just cut off to much Bull crap to name.only good part I only paid$ 4600 for it so they were $35,000 new I bought it used with the Hemi engine should have kept my mustang!
