Was watching a few guides to try to get a good understanding of what to do and noticed that in some videos people drop pag oil into the condenser, while others don't. Was wondering why that part was left out.
@funbro14 жыл бұрын
Because the compressor has the oil in it and unless the compressor was changed then the oil is still in there. Adding more will over fill it with oil much like engine oil. A side note on compressors, some of them come pre-filled with oil so check before adding more. Hope this helps, Thanks for watching.

Do you have to fill the system and do vacuum once you replace the condenser? Thanks for all the info
@funbro15 жыл бұрын
Ideally yes that would allow it to operate at peak performance. Thanks for watching.
@brandonp46265 жыл бұрын
Yes you need to put the vacuum pump and gauges on and let the vacuum run for 30 minutes to hour. You want to monitor the gauges at 30 minutes to make sure you're holding vacuum.
@pullbackbaby2 жыл бұрын
If you experience a leak under vacuum. Test the gauges alone pulling vacuum while disconnected from vehicle.

Would a bad condenser cause ac compressor to not rotate? What kind of sealer did you use? Also do you have to put compressor oil in before you screw all the hoses back on? Last is it safe to drive it to an ac shop so they can suck the air out the system and recharge?
@funbro13 жыл бұрын
Lack of refrigerant could cause the compressor to not rotate. Anything that will withstand temperatures and is rated for AC. Compressor should have oil in it so no oil needed unless it was removed from the compressor. Yes, safe to drive. Thanks for watching.
