Hey- wanted to say two things- first off thank you so much for the video- yours was the first one I found when searching for a solution due to my 2017 Sierra not starting and needing to replace the battery. Secondly, I am blown away that you can do all this with one arm. At first i had not seen the title of your channel, so didnt realize until about halfway through that was the case. I was like, why is this guy using only one arm LOL! I was having just a hell of a time getting the new battery in ( turns out the new one was slightly bigger/longer) and that of course is with two fully working arms! ;-) I have two nephews who have no arms, and so I see every day how people with disabilities are able to overcome them. Just incredible you can do this work better than i can! Thank you sir!

Good God - all that for a battery? Remember when all it took was lossening the terminal clamps and the bracket to replace a battery? Now its crazy!

GM was really dumb to for removing the handles on the oem battery too🤦‍♂️

Also dumb for removing the gas cap from the 14-18 trucks as well.. grrr

Stupidest design I’ve ever dealt with. A battery needs to have quick access. Imagine being trapped in a storm where your battery dies and can’t be jumped, you’ll be out of luck since you’ll need the whole harbor freight rachet socket set just to tear down to get to a stupid battery.

Funny. I watched this to replace the battery on my 2017 DMC Canyon Denali and the battery is on the drivers side and bus cover is different

Did you have to go directly to gm to get that battery, or can you go to other part stores?... p.s. good job getting that nightmare battery out! Not looking forward to doing this job on my sierra

i love my truck but it is also a piece of sh@t. Just waiting for the transmission to croak. I hate that.
