Replacing the JBL GO 3 Battery (How to in 4K)

We are describing the process of the battery replacement on a JBL GO 3 portable Bluetooth speaker.
This speaker is waterproof, so it takes a little bit more effort to gain access to the inside of the speaker. But luckily we can do so still with very limited tools.
We are giving easy step-by-step instructions so you can do this repair yourself.

ayy man, can i replace my go3's battery with a go2 battery replacement? cuz the battery wires has the same pins

As long as the battery voltage is the same it should be ok to use the Go2 battery.

Hi, neat idea! I’d take it apart before repainting. That should make it easier, plus you avoid getting paint on the driver.

Good question. I think there are paints specifically for aplastic, but I personally have not used any of those yet.

Should it work on cable but with no battery attached? I have a GO3 that doesn’t emit any sound with or without cable, not even the “start up” sound. However, I can connect to the phone and use the volume buttons to interact, but no sound.

Not sure if it would work without a battery. As long as the buttons and the connection to the phone still work, it should be fully functional. maybe there is something wrong with the driver itself or blot the connection to it is interrupt?

In the past JBLs batteries came from Cameron Sino. They sell the batteries on their website. But I don’t think they supply them for this model.

If it gets hot during the day then it would for sure not be good for it in terms of battery life. Not sure about thermal events though. That’s something I worry about myself sometimes.

I never tried, but I believe it will fit. The capacity of the GO3 battery is a bit smaller than the Go3 though. So it won’t play as long

been using it daily for 9 months now, and the speaker cant play anymore without restarting 😂😂 sometimes even plugged in, it does restart but still continues to play after.

Much easier to buy a new speaker only £30/$35 , will maintain is water resistance that way !

Sorry, I don't know the answer to that question. I am not familiar with the old Nokia batteries anymore.

@@liveandletlive5849 JBLs battery supplier is usually Cameron Sino, where it is possible to find the replacement batteries for most models. Unfortunately for my GO3 the battery is supplied by GreatPower, for which I have not found a reliable source so far. The model number would be GSP383562.

No product nowadays is meant for replacing the battery... These are the times of just consuming and throw them away in the trash can creating more and more e-waste and stating that we are "eco-friendly". embarrassing, no?
