WOW! Best repair tutorial video ever. And since I watched your excellent disassembly process, I have decided that this speaker ain't worth fixing. The battery is the very first thing they put in there, for cryin out loud! By the time you got to pulling the antenna through the end-cap, I determined that I wasn't gonna do this repair. But you got another subscriber ; - )

@@MegaSafetyFirst JBL speakers are expensive. I ordered a new and improved battery from Amazon it was less than 20 bucks so it'll be well worth it to get my speaker up and working!

I’m no electronics expert but this video is so easy to follow and perfectly explained so I have been able to get my old Flip 2 back up and running again for less than £20 and half an hour of my time! Amazing video 🙌🏻 thank you!

Just gave a new life to my speaker thanks to this video. JBL Flip 2 has such great sound quality. For your info, the speaker in this video is the 2013 version. This is what you need to know when ordering a new battery.

Great instructional video! I got ahead of myself an ripped one of the cables. Had I waited and watched the video this would not have happened LOL. Anyways, got everything of as instructed but then looked at the cost of the battery and cost of a used speaker and ended up trashing the speaker. Battery was too expensive but still a good learning experience and great video.

Excellent job! thumbs up...!!! yes and I agree that need to be careful with the replacement battery, the first ones that I order was with 5 cable for Flip 2 2014, but my model was 2013, which is only 3 cables. So I need to order again. But apart from that everything it's perfect.

That is unfortunate. The antenna wire might have to be soldered back on.

I definitely have a JBL Flip 2 but mine looks totally different inside. From the outside it looks like yours. For example my mesh was not screwed at all. just more prongs that clamped down. And I totally ripped the nfc cables. they are brittle.

Thank you so much for this video! Thanks to you there will be one less speaker in the e-waste pile. My speaker is an older model of the Flip 2, and as another commenter said it takes a different battery. I appreciate you taking the time to make this!
