I bought inserts that stop the forks from traveling further than your fender distance to tree. HHI has them. I left 3/16 inch space to the fender when bottomed out. Have to take the forks apart completely and measure the travel total without fender and then measure your distance to fender, actually first. Then do the math and install the limiters and you could use heavier fork oil if you need to slow the damping, or add more preload. Takes some work but it worked for me. I may lower my front fender to get another 1/2 inch travel and take 1/8 inch out of the limiter. Now that I know. Have a good one.

Am I missing something, or is there really nothing keeping the fork tubes from spinning except the threaded cap at the top, which didn't appear to be tight at all? I've never seen a lower tree that let the tubes "float". Where is the torsional stability coming from, especially when turning a wheel that large at speed? Either I'm missing something or you're missing some parts, or that set up is fundamentally flawed.
