Leave it to GM to put a common failure part in the most difficult place to reach. Just google "LS oil pressure sensor" to see how common this is. *knocks on wood* this hasn't happened to my 15 year old Escalade yet. I think MotorTrend made up pound-feet of torque. I've never heard it except on their videos and TV shows back in the 80's. Foot-pounds and inch-pounds are the correct terms.
@WatchJRGo5 жыл бұрын
Exactly 💯
@joubess5 жыл бұрын
@@WatchJRGo What's funnier is when "experts" say the foot-pound is equivalent to the Joule and a pound-foot is equivalent to a Newton-meter. In SI units, a Newton-meter is a Joule. All SI units can be broken down into basic units: a Newton is a kilogram-meter per second per second. Apply a Newton of force over a meter of distance and it's a Newton-meter, aka a Joule. They also say, wrongly, that the Joule measures linear work and the Newton-meter measures rotational work (torque). LOL. 100 ft-lb is not equal to 100 lb-ft. Ft-lb is a vector, meaning 100 pounds of force applied over 1 foot of distance. 100 lb-ft would be 1 pound of force applied over 100 feet of distance, not the same. So 100 lb-ft equals 0.01 ft-lb. It's nonsensical. Pound-feet may be a convention, but it's not right.
