@@lljc9170 I hate this guy, too. But THE STATE OF TEXAS VS KEVIN SOUCIE was about a speeding ticket for going 5 miles over the speed limit. In anything but a Texas court of law, it's not as big a deal as trying to run a cyclist off the road.

Do you make any type of mark on the welds so that the spot welds (are these considered spot welds?) are visible for future incidents?

You should be able to see them. Whenever you spot weld (essentially tack with the mig), it usually leaves a small crater/dot in the center of the weld

I would advise against it as they may rattle themselves out. You would have better luck using pop rivets
