As a former body/paint tech, its refreshing to see Brian inherently just want to fix things correctly, even taking short cuts. I can’t tell you the amount of hacks I’ve seen roll their boxes through a shop. I always hated getting handed train wrecks full of mud and then the back side of the panel looks even worse 🤦♂️

It's called a ( rosette ) weld. You can get some cheaper hand held spot welders now a days, but you guys did a great job with it, looks perfect. 👏 b hall is a master body man..

@@eire90s79 yeah still have it, can't see me letting it go any time soon, prices for clean ones have gone through the roof and with the Vehicle registration tax in Ireland being a lucky dip at the minute, It's making Irish registered jdm cars more valuable here, so even if I did sell I couldn't get another rwd import as clean as what I have so I will probably just keep driving it for now

Gotta love auto body. That shit is an art form itself. PRO TIP if you don't have a spot welder and only a mig, to prevent burn through when welding, if you can use a copper backing so the weld won't burn through and cause bigger holes rather than welding them together.

You should leave the oem wheels but build them to a 3 piece with a step up lip and barrel wider and a slightly aggressive offset.
