This was such a nice video to watch. All kinds of tips thrown in here and there. Still to cold here for to plant anything but my cold weather loving plants. My daffodils just died off yesterday. They even survived a snowstorm. I hope your family lives close to share in your wonderful bounty. That was a nice picture of your wife makes me think you are a very lucky man a beautiful woman that cooks delicious real food. I hope you have an abundant harvest this year.

Just ran across your Channel you're amazing.The way you repurposed everything you need to save you some money "quite a bit." And also love the way you removed those posts out of the ground .So smart except you needed a helper ,would have been easier on your legs and back. Your plants are looking great I just got my small things out today want to start a raised bed next year if God's willing take care God bless I'll be watching. Thanks for the ideas

We don't have our garden sectioned off like that in raised beds but we have a regular tilled garden. Weather is like yours. We finally managed our potatoes and onions. Have garlic, Kale and bunching onions up from last year. Hoping our newly planted strawberries will survive. Keep on truckin'!

I like your nice neat garden. Drives me crazy to see some of these gardens that are like a crazy quilt! Try Hog wild bbq sauce. They are in Hiutchinson KS and now in Wichita, Salina etc. But, I think their sauce is best. I like it better than sweet baby Ray's and better than all the other kinds in KC and everywhere. It has a hint of chili powder flavor but not spicy

Thank you so much 😊. There is a video about making the wings back a couple years. The beds are made of very thin material but work good. I think they will last for many years if you're careful. Seeds and raised beds are hard to find this year with so many starting gardens. Thanks for watching

Just ordered some of these myself. I remember watching this video when you posted it and just went back and re-watched part 1 and 2. I'm extending my garden for the fall and decided on these. Also, random suggestion; Have you considered doing an "about me" video or something? I think it would be super interesting to hear your back story. Such as how you got started woodworking and gardening, where you learned to do so. I think ive heard you mention you're retired, I always find myself trying to guess what your occupation is/was.

You use the same methods for driving conduit that I do. Been using conduit for my tomato cages and cattle panel for over 20 yrs. I don’t have my garden planted yet either. It’s been raining about every other day and the temps have been running 10 to 20 degrees below normal and I live down here in the Kansas City area. Still feels like March down here!

I'm curious, when you planted the potatoes, why did you take off all the eyes? I thought that was what you needed to grow the new plant?

It looks like he removed only the sprout, not the eye. It will regrow.
@unemployedredneckhillbilly20234 жыл бұрын
Those sprouts were black at the end and would not grow any further so I just removed them so there would not be rot to attract bugs in the soil. Plenty of un sprouted eyes and I hope they will grow something. Thanks for watching.
