Oh 1 more thing. Don’t know if your caliper supports dot 5 brake fluid that contains silicone. If it doesn’t it will swell the rubber seals ask me how I know

Yes. Lol. I use Dot3. I don’t need that extra heat resistance.

Hi. I have a 79 vette. I’m just learning the car. I do not have that bar attached to my rear left caliper that you showed (the first thing you ratcheted off at 0:14). What is that things name and what does it do? Lol my left rear caliper is leaking too at the seal (hoses are ok so I’m in the same boat as u. Gonna swap out both rear calipers)

I’m not sure what it’s called. I think it’s a sway bar or something. Don’t quote me because I don’t know what it is for sure.

Hey Guys: It's the rear sway bar. It was an option based on suspension choice.@@NoBrakesGarage

Why putting the pads before installing thr caluper?
@NoBrakesGarage Жыл бұрын
That’s the way I always do it. I don’t know of a way to do it with the caliper on.

Lol, yes. It’s a endless battle. I’ve had to replace them several times, I’ve only driven the thing once. Lol.
