Replacing the worn out idlers, spindles, and deck belt on a TORO ZTR with a 50" mower deck.

Good video. I have the MX5000 which is the same exact setup as far as the deck goes. When I’m installing a belt I will route the belt around all the pulleys and then zip tie both sides of the belt to itself right at the rear of the deck. This keeps the belt taut and prevents it from falling off any of the pulleys. I then install the belt on the crank shaft pulley first before sliding the deck forward under the hanging brackets. You can then carefully cut the zip tie with side cutters and the weight and position of the deck keeps the belt tensioned enough that it won’t go loose and fall off. Then simply lift the deck back into the hangers and reinstall the front bar.

that's 2 of these vids I've seen now where there's no blade stiffeners on - is that something you had & removed or... - mine are getting pretty beat up

I think I stripped the bolts in one of my three spindles when installing the blades. Can I replace just once, or do all three? The mower is 1 year old. Thanks

You should be able to just replace one.

I usually do torque them. I was in a hurry to get mowing and I didn't have the specs.

Thanks! I have the Toro Timecutter 75755 and the bolt that holds on the blade on the right, chute, side won't tighten. Are they left hand threads? Does part X001LWKXWH include the shaft the the bolt that holds on the blade screws into? Does the screw for the blade and the cupped washer come with that part?

Thanks for watching. The bolts that hold the blade on are not left handed threads. The replacement hub does come with the shaft that the bolt screws in to. It does not come with the blade bolt or washer.

Hi, can any one please help I have a Toro MX 5025 mower, the tensioner pulley and the idler pulley are rubbing against each other when engaging the blades thank you. Bob.

I haven't seen that model before. Could be an alignment issue?

Hard to say without seeing it but if the mower has been worked on maybe the tensioner bracket was reinstalled incorrectly. If that’s not the case, I’d say the tensioner spring might be damaged or worn out allowing the tension pulley to move farther than it should, thereby contacting the idler.
