Need to press the red buttons to release pressure before removing filter. It won't leak.
@williadw19553 жыл бұрын
wow... you have some really high water pressure compared to our town. I read that you shouldn't change the filter until you see the water pressure going down. You should get some Silicone Grease, Food Grade Sanitary Lubricant to grease the O-rings of the filter canisters the next time you change them. Amazon has that.

@@MrJoelMartinezhow good the system its so far.. do you remover chlorine as well??
@Bepm19563 жыл бұрын
I have this system and it works well. When I changed the sediment filter there was a ridget plastic ring on the top portion of the filter tube. For the life of me I could not get the filter on again without removing the plastic ring. I noticed during the video that when you removed the sediment filter you had the same plastic ring attached to the top of the tube, but when you put the new filter in the plastic ring wasn't there any longer. Does anyone know what the ring is supposed do?

Aligns the filter so the port aligns properly, you can pull it out when taking your filter off, and then install it at the end after inserting your new filter.

Drill and tap a sample valve into the bottom of the filter bowl, you can drain the housing before removal. Not sure if there is enough room unless it’s mounted to the wall

Sir, thank You for taking the time to do this GREAT video. How hard was it to install that system in your house? Many thanks and have a super great week!
@MrJoelMartinez Жыл бұрын
👍 I paid a plumber to install it but I should take from 2 to 5 hours tops for a licensed plumber to do this.

Have you ever done a water test on the filtered water to see how much stuff it's removing?

I have not. That’s a great idea. I am going to try to do it.

How is the water system still holding up? I'm thinking of purchasing one for myself

What about mounting the system a little higher and placing a plastic bin or tray underneath it to help catch some of the water? Hope this helps. How’s the system working for you now that you’ve had it for a while?
@MrJoelMartinez3 жыл бұрын
I agree with your suggestion that’s how I would have done it. I change the filters but someone else installed it. It’s working out great so far. My town water is terrible so I change the filters much sooner than the suggested gallon count.
@MrJoelMartinez3 жыл бұрын
I change the sediment filter every 15k gallons and the rest every 40k gallons on average

Awesome. I am glad it was helpful. I did not use the lube. Can you please Let me know if you did and which one you used ?

Wait did you say you only had that filter system for a month? And you're already replacing them? They are supposed to last for 50k for the mineral one and 100k gallons for the others I thought? They really only need to be replaced if you're losing water pressure which is why they have those gauges..
@ryanm.4953 Жыл бұрын
So you replaced your filters, just after a month?
@MrJoelMartinez11 ай бұрын
I was replacing the sediment filter only every month at the beginning and the other filters I would replace every 90k gallons or so
@MrJoelMartinez11 ай бұрын
No I replace them less often

I have a situation where there’s no pressure on the filtration system but I see water in the pressure gauges. Seems to be very difficult or more difficult to release to change the filters.
@MrJoelMartinez Жыл бұрын
Yeah . I see that is the case if there is still pressure inside if you press the red button it should release the pressure. make sure the valves are closed around it first
@lim3j3lly10 ай бұрын
The gauges are actually filled with glycerin to protect them from vibrations. I actually have an issue where two of my pressure gauges show 0 psi but the third shows around 74 psi. Water pressure in the house is fine. Is this the same issue you are having? I am still looking for a solution..

Hot water will always come out cloudy
@MrJoelMartinez3 жыл бұрын
I found the same for the first day or so. Someone said it was air bubbles. Also it depends on how dirty your water heater is. I have a brand new combi boiler (Navien). Part of the reason we got the filter is because the water is so bad that it kept destroying the boilers.

Did the hot water clear after a while ?
@Msalazar6sicVI3 жыл бұрын
I have a brand new water heater and brand new 3 stage anti scale filter from Express Water and the hot water still comes out cloudy. It doesn't mean it is dirty that is just how hot water reacts under pressure and through an aerator
@nottalot2092 Жыл бұрын
This gentleman changed his filters way too soon. They do a year or 100,000 gallons. Nobody does that much in a month or two. Watch the pressure.
