Replacing ZERO 9 and 10 Front Suspension

Do you find your front suspension clanking or bottoming out on your ZERO 9 or Z10 scooter? Here is a step by step tutorial on how to change the front spring suspension and add a rubber damper to reduce the clanking noise.
We also added a bonus tutorial on how to change the end cap of the octagonal tube of the Z9 and Z10 headset. The end cap may get worn off over time due to the aluminium material. The new end caps are stainless steel so the threading will not get worn out. Here is how to take the whole headset apart.

I was told that at 200lbs, I would bottom out the stock suspension and it wouldn't offer much support. Is it possible to change the suspension for something that suits my weight? What would that be? Just a longer/stronger spring?

So the suspension system of 8,9 and 10 are just like toys. C'mon guys with the high price of your electric scooters, you should have used a more rigid and quality suspension both in the front and back. I own a zero 8 and the suspension both in the front and rear sucks big time!

That suspension is a terrible idea and for the price you pay for that scooter you should be getting better.

Believe it or not this is one of the better suspensions for scooters. The price you pay is mainly for the battery and motor which makes up most of the cost.
