🇬🇧 REPLAY - Race hour 2 - 2019 24 Hours of Le Mans

The Toyota TS050 Hybrids head the field but all eyes are on the LMGTE Pro class, which is where the action is for the moment.
LMP1
Mike Conway (Toyota Gazoo Racing #7 Toyota TS050 Hybrid) took advantage of the opening laps to score some fast times, 3:17.910, then 3:17.297.
LMP2
A puncture for the Duqueine Engineering #30 Oreca 07 - Gibson #30 meant Nico Jamin had to crawl back to the pit. However, the car he shares with Romain Dumas and Pierre Ragues is now only trailing the class leaders by a lap.
LM GTE Pro
The first lap in this class was worthy of a Grand Prix with the #67 Ford GT driven by Harry Tincknell chasing leader Nicki Thiim in the #95 Aston Martin Vantage AMR.
LM GTE Am
At the end of the first hour, the Dempsey-Proton Racing #88 Porsche 911 RSR spun off and lost the lead to the #77 sister car.

I love how much air goes in between the hood and the chassis of the Corvette gt cars, I mean it looks just like a flappy air duct. Also i just love how the Chevy Corvette race cars have the hood even more as a separate piece of their car than their opponents, although it does not give them a competitive edge, but it is just awesome to see that it is just the wind that flaps the hood.

What happened with the transition at 0:17? - The cars jumped ahead to the end of the straight, and completely different cars following the corvette all of a sudden (except the Porsche, which has suddenly jumped up to 2nd after the vette), yet the clock at top of screen doesn't jump ahead at all... 🤔

Haha, me neither. The commentator line-up they had in 2018 was really good. I don't know the names, except Karun Chandhok, but they were all brilliant. Only a few of them were back in 2019 it seems.
