Honestly mountain biking has the best community, and competitive nature. Look at racing, riders will walk the course together and share lines, knowing that them sharing that line might give away their win, but they share it anyway. Honestly I love it.

Last year a lot of the fans were saying that the judges favored nicholi, in insbruck this year they said that the judges favored brett and now people are saying that they're favoring emil. Yet we've had the same judges for years! I think that everyone is blaming the judges as soon as their favourite rider doesn't win and that the fans are the actual biased ones
@callumyoung77855 жыл бұрын
Nah nicholi deserved way more than 88 for his first run
@masaharumorimoto47615 жыл бұрын
Subjective judging is a loose-loose situation in my opinion. I hate the judging, but it's gotta be judged somehow! I just wish they didn't do "slotting" and would just judge each run independently and let the scores fall where they fall. This business of slotting a run higher or lower based on "where it belongs" leaves a lot of room for shenanigans by the judges.
@xx-dt8hm5 жыл бұрын
@@callumyoung7785 no, go and watch again, not one trick smoothly landed, it was the most entertaining run of the comp and definetly if it would have been cleanly executed, been the winning run for sure, but this year Johansson has been doing similar tier tricks landing perfectly straight every single time and thats what has won him the comp. It is as someone said before kind of a Semenuk vibe in the guy since that is what has made Semenuk the GOAT. But dont hate, opinions are different and judging is the weak point of the sport at the moment
@asteele9115 жыл бұрын

Congrats to Emil Johansson on the win and nice to see David Godziek in the mix again as well. Overall it just seemed this course was a little too much for the riders. A lot of crashes and riders coming up short. Seemed like everyone was barely hanging on. I would love to see the course being toned down a little, so more riders can stick the runs they dream of all year. Yes this has more drama, but it's not that rider friendly.
