Hey, thanks again for a great video, Denver. When I saw the trailer to this film I couldn't believe how exaggerated the colors looked. It's so distractingly orange that it almost hurt my eyes.

sorry, i don't understand step 5 - do you use 2 lumetri color effect (1 for teal and 1 for orange), or you work inside one? I don't understand how you start to work with warm colors after isolating cool colors, why all parameters and color wheel reset?

I watched Asteroid City in cinema. It looks a little bit less red in the saturation. Just a nuance but it looks much better in the silver screen then in the KZbin trailer.

does it work if I buy the basic one, or which one do I have to buy ?

Basic allows you to grade clips individually and Pro let's you copy grades from one clip to another and at a final look to multiple clips at once.

Hey guys i have a question,.. recently i’ve completed grading for a film, the client was happy and the look came well.. but now the client wants to change the edit, the editor did necessary changes and shared XML & EDL files of the changed edit.. now my question is , is there any easy way to update the edit in the timeline where all the clips were already colored ? Or i just have to apply the grade to each clip individually
@colorgradingcentral Жыл бұрын
You should be able to, just make sure you relink to the same clips with the new xml

Haha it is bit strong or overcooked. There’s always a reason why Wes uses these treatments, there exposes that deep dive into this though we were just diving into the mechanics of the look.

For once, I am completely against the look of this wes anderson movie. Even tho it is shot on film which I love, it's unnatural and completely over the top. Making it look at if it were a cheap imitation of a wes anderson movie.

Everytime a Wes Anderson movie is mentioned by film peers, it’s always about the signature color palette and never about the content of movie.

I think that directors, storytellers, movie buffs talk about story and themes, whereas directors of photography, colorists, and other artists look more solely at the creative aesthetic.
