The new version fits so nicely! If I were you, I'd reclaim the yarn from the former sweater to make something else.

I love this book and did the same thing you did (colorwork sweater). I love my finished sweater. It's now about 6 years old. That book is invaluable!!!!

You did an AMAZING job!!! 🤩 congratulations, it must be so satisfying! I actually like the little dots! They seem made on purpose and add a lace-y touch to the sweater!

Thank you so much!! And yes, the little dots don't bother me as much as I thought they would! I'm glad I placed them symmetrically 😅

Amazing work ! I'm currently knitting a sweater that looks like a store bought sweater for my sister. You inspire me to stay strong and keep on knitting. Self drafting a pattern by looking at pictures is not easy 😅

I am so happy for you!! You are officially an advance knitter ❤. I love the design of both but the second one looks really comfy. I noticed that you use stitch markers for the sleeves. Do you find it takes up more time do the labeling or does it provide a better fit?
@balancedskein Жыл бұрын
Thanks so much! And I use the stitch markers to track my decreases. It makes it a lot easier when I get to the second sleeve because I can read my knitting instead of using a row counter to make the sleeves identical 😊

Love it! Well done. I don’t know that I’d be able to part with a beloved sweater from daddy. Any way to repurpose it? Sew it into a pillow or project bag?
@balancedskein Жыл бұрын
Perhaps! I think the more likely fate will be harvesting the yarn and using it for a new project 😊

Wow what a successful knit! Beautiful. ❤ How soft did you find the wolstock?
@balancedskein Жыл бұрын
It's pretty soft! I'm really sensitive around my upper chest. It is mildly itchy in that area, but it usually fades after a few minutes of wearing it
