They were both so great and just ugh haha I was kinda disappointed who she ends up with but then at the same time I was really happy like my heart was just confused.

After watching this scene multiple times, I really noticed how Deok Sun fully takes responsibility for Taek willingly, and in fact says it would be an honor. Her feelings for Taek were already starting to bloom into something deeper, but she just didn’t recognize that way yet. He really meant the world to her, those feelings just needed time to grow. The music itself in this scene is a misdirection, by having a somber mood lead to Jung Hwan’s reaction, it gives a hint that JH should be the character to root for. Very sly on the director’s and writer’s part, really. I love this series so very much. I know people don’t like the ending because they either didn’t get to see the families’ reaction, or they were disappointed that it wasn’t JH. I personally can envision the guys all not being surprised and knowing way before the families, and the families all just accepting it because they really do know these two well. The moms just couldn’t handle any other societal stresses at the time. It would have been nice to see them in wedding attire, but to me it wasn’t necessary since we got to see them when they were older.

Miss Sunshine I still haven't finished the drama yet so don't spoil anything for me lol. But the reason i ship Taek and Duk Soen is because of how caring they are for each other. Duk Seon always treats him well and makes sure he's healthy even when he is so caught up in his competitions. And Taek is always looking caring for her too. He bought gloves for her that she wanted so much and he shares food with her. He was taking care of her when she cried from being harrased by the flasher and he even went back to the restroom again to make sure she was safe. And he's so happy around her and smiles brightly when they're togther. They make each other happy and omg I could keep going but I'll stop lol. they're just too cute!

+zynbw But JH bought gloves too, and he wasn't even her secret santa :O (and Taek forgot first lolll) JH waited for her to go to school, protected her on the bus, checked for her to be back from studying (and waited in the rain), bough tickets for her to go to the concert with, etc. etc. etc. I think people ship JH and DS because although it's a struggle for him to show emotions, he is an extremely thoughtful and considerate person, both to his friends, family and romantic interest. Taek seems to be too young emotionally. He likes Duk Seon, but in a way that people see as guardian and child; he relies on her, and is happy with her, but he is not mature enough to handle the complexities of a relationship. He is incredibly sweet, but he's always tired, doesn't know how to take care of himself and also doesn't get as much screentime as JH overall (since he's always in matches) so he doesn't get as much character development. Nonetheless, I was team Taek for watching most of the show and then turned neutral, as in I'd be happy with both. I'm just listing some points of the other side :)

The reaction of dong ryong and sunwoo to taek's confession are exactly the reason why JH didn't call dibs in the first place...he was too self conscious of what they would think that he couldn't even acknowledge to himself that he likes DS

It was shown later that he likes her from the first episode. Still he didn't act upon his liking.... Just kept on hesitating the whole show. If you won't, some other guy will eventually sweep her oof of her feet. And that's exactly what taek did. He even, withdrew from doekseon after he saw jungwah's wallet. But that guy still hesitated! I am glad, taek withdrew just once and then pursued her wholeheartedly afterwards.

tasha пре 1 секунде "calling dibs" is really a bad way to describe this because she's not an object. what's wrong with taek being honest with his friends? also, jung-hwan had at least 4 episodes in which he coul've confessed. to be precise: from episode 6 to 10, when he knew sun-woo had no feelings for her, and taek hadn't told them yet. so what stopped him exactly? i don't understand why many people feel sorry for jung-hwan? as if he had zero chances and that is completely untrue. he wasted them on being snarky and vague around her. even if he did confess, their relationship wouldn't have worked because deok-sun always had feelings for taek, she just wasn't aware of them yet.

Re-watching this drama again.. And i just now realize that aftr this very scene, Jung Pal started avoiding to show his feelings to Duk Seon. I was not happy as well that Duk Seon ends up with Teaki cause Jung Pal never did any action towards his feelings to Duk Seon. Now I understand, he is not coward but he values friendship more than anything. He knew he could hurt Taeki if he pursued Duk Seon even if on following episodes aftr this, Duk Seon started expressing interest on him too. Huhuhuhuhu 😪😭😥

Yeah, he didn't have as much personality as the others, he didn't talk too much. But I think he was supposed to be quiet and shy.
