It is narrated by Ahmad, with a good sanad,3 on the authority of Ibn Mas'ood (Radhi Allaahu Anhu), in a narration traced back to the Prophet (may Peace Be Upon Him) himself, the following: "Verily, the most wicked of people are those who, when the Hour overtakes them, are still alive, and those who take graves as places of worship."
