You're right. There are people who are just like this and it pours cold water on the desire to keep helping. They are ungrateful and entitled individuals. Wow, Mazi, you are so right. I once sent a large amount of money to my nephew upon hearing that he needed money to pay school fees for his younger brothers. His dad passed away a few years ago. I waited for three days to get confirmation from him that he had received the money, but I heard nothing. So, I sent him a text asking if he had received the money. He replied with a one-word answer: tomorrow. That, to me was the height of ingratitude. Needless to say that was the last time he ever heard from me. I feel bad for his younger siblings because he cut them off from a sustainable source of assistance. So, yeah! Ingratitude is a disgusting quality that shuts doors. But the younger siblings are your nephews and nieces too na, you can bless them if they come directly to you or you see they need assistance. One of my senior cousin died few days after giving birth, the immediate younger sister took over as mum to the baby and even stood as mum on her wedding eventhough my grandma is alive.

While in school when they send me money, my response was usually "seen, thanks ma/sir) and i do that promptly too. Nobody ever complained and infact, i hardly ever called before they send. Yes KOK is right.

😂😂😂 so because someone doesn't reply to you the way you want it is disrespectful?…where the do we place the possibility of the persons intent. On the other hand while I understand the sentiment he is trying to spread I still feel it is egotistical. Be grateful yes I agree on that part, but the do gooder should not be expecting that gratitude or else the sending of money and receiving gratitude is just a business transaction.
