Ian, that's exactly how I feel about Grigson. Growing up it always felt like luck was dragging them to the playoffs every year. And everything they did was in spite of Grigson. Now it's of course possible that he's changed and he's learned since then, at least I would hope. But on paper I would be super unenthusiastic about having Grigson as the GM. Andrew, Luck is my favorite non-jets player of all time and he totally ruined him

Calm down Jet fans. This would be a great trio (McCowan as well). Grigson and Flores have experience which we've never had before in new hires. Grigson has learned and will be much better this time. Flores was always a very good coach and his 2nd time around he'll be even better.

I want Dimitroff as GM, because I think he will work effectively with Woody and everyone else. For HC, my choices are Gruden, McCarthy, or Pete Carrol. Aaron Glen has potential, but if the Jets are about to hire him, I would like to know how and with whom he intends on putting a staff together. Ian, here's a friendly suggestion: For every wannabe 1st time HC you do a stream about, see if you can get information on how and with whom that candidate will put a staff together. Now, when it comes to Flores, I have my doubts about getting the right people in for future QB development, even if that's after 2025 with Rodgers. Right now, what the Jets ABSOLUTELY DO NOT NEED is a first time HC with a staff full of first timers. That turned out to be a HUGE problem with Saleh.

Flores struggled to build a staff when he was in Miami. As a Dolphins fan I would say you can expect a high floor and a limited ceiling. You will need a veteran bridge QB. Qb development will be a huge area of concern for Flo until he proves otherwise.

I can get if a GM said "I need to hire the coach I want" - if they don't have say in that, I doubt most good GM candidates would take the role. But a coach saying "He's gotta be GM"? I feel like only a few coaches have that luxury and Flores isn't one of them. If the Jets said "look we want you as HC but we're hiring Borgonzi as GM", do we really think Flores would turn down what might be his last chance as HC?

I wish Flores wasnt tied to Grigson this much. I really dont want Grigson as GM. He basically ruined Luck's career with poor drafting and personel decisions. Youre right he could learn from his mistakes, but i really dont want him. And him being tied to Flores so much really makes me like Flores as a candidate less because i personally dont want Grigson in charge. Colts fans are warning us about him. And i believe them. Yes he was. Draft picks were terrible every year after he drafted luck, FA signings were horrible, trades were horrible (Trent Richardson is still one of the worst trades I’ve ever seen). The team won games because they were carried by luck, Hilton, and Vontae Davis on defense. Once they were run into the ground because of the horrible pieces around them, the team showed how bad they were.

Domitrov & Gruden: retain Ulbrich @ DC & have Dorsey OC Draft Abdul Carter or sign Mack Draft Will Johnson to lock down the corners with Sauce who is hungry this year or draft Will Campbell from LSU to solidify the line; this is the most sought after job. Gruden will work with Rodgers which means Adams will be back ready to go; blow it up in 2026 if necessary; no reason to do it this offseason
