Adulis existed long before Axum. the finding of the Adulis project would refute the myth and legend long propagated by ethiopianists. That is one of the important paper prsented in the conference that I impressed me. The recognition of Alemseged the historian, the playwright, the lawyer etc is another one of interest to me. The trilogy he wrote about the struggle of the eritrean people is a great historical value. Just like the myth of the adulis port, the history of the federation era and the final annexation was filled with doctored facts and information as told by ethiopian authors like Dez. Zwedie. So the unique and oustanding contribution of Alemseged should be appreciated. My last word is that the proceedings of the conference should be available to all interested people.
