Hello Plantlets!
we meet again! I wanted to try something new this video. I had some plants that were desperate for a repot, so I turned on the camera and decided to do it with you. I admit I've been a bit hesistant to do plant chores on camera because personally I feel 50/50 on watching them myself. Sometimes (usually if I am doing plant chores) I find myself watching them, but usually I prefer show and tell.
What do you prefer?
In today's video we discuss some of my personal preferences when it comes to caring for my plants. I really hope you enjoy!

@@Anthuriumaesthetic I can’t tell you how much that comment means to me. I’m not really all that comfortable in front of the camera. I wait for John( my boyfriend) to be busy or out of the house before I can film lol. 😂 to be honest that’s really silly because he’s my biggest supporter in anything I do, but something about talking to the camera when someone is around feels soooo uncomfortable. I’m trying to get over that, but I admit today he left to run his errands and only then did I have the courage to jump on and film. I really appreciate the feedback! Tysm!! 🫶💚

Since u grow veggies & houseplants, I was wondering if pests that are specific to certain veggies would affect a houseplant. For example, I had aphids on my pepper plants but they don't travel to my ficus for some reason even though they're next to each other 🤔

@@AhmadAsrafHashim so, I have def had my fair share of pests both in and out. However, while aphids will munch on houseplants I find they pretty much seem to stick to my hibiscus. I have no idea why. I’ve never had them inside. I have found that some bugs must prefer the outside. When it comes to thrips spider mites and mealies I have had them outside and inside. As for aphids you can usually spray the plant down with water. You can also spray neem oil or a little bit of dawn and water. There easier to get rid of then some of them! Silly pests!!

@@Planted386 I cut off the affected leaves n sprayed BT n wood vinegar 😬 neem oil gives me headache 🤣

@@AhmadAsrafHashim that should be fine. Keep an 👀 out and treat repeatedly if need be. I feel you. I hate Neem. I use it as a preventative but I much prefer alcohol and Castille soap. I forgot to mention that mixture before but I use it most often as a preventative and treatment. Two thirds water to one part rubbing alcohol. Mix in a few drops of castille peppermint soap and tea tree. The bugs hate it! But it smells wonderful to me!! I like to make the mixture in a continuous spray bottle as I find it gives me the best even coverage. Don’t forget the backs of the leaves 😊
