I had some aquarium videos running (I also run a planted 4-foot aquarium) and then this video played bc I'm subbed to you and get my Anthurium knowledge from you. It is Autumn here but still very warm so I'm prepping my plants for the winter. I chopped my Deliciosa Monstera large form to pieces finally. Ended up with the top cut, butt cut, and 4 stem cuts. Also potted up some Alocasia Black Velvet and Scalprum corms and separated some Sarian variants. I had to stop because I ran out of my potting mix!

I am glad I found your videos. You aren’t the first person that has talked about sizing up the pot in Anthurium, so this past weekend I did just that on all of mine. 😂 It not only takes up room, but it is stressful because they’re wet longer and that makes me nervous.

I don't think Brita filters out enough TDS for carnivorous plants! We just switched out our ZeroWater jug for a Brita one... but I'm keeping the ZeroWater jug for my future carnivorous plants, because it takes out all TDS, while brita typically leaves quite a bit behind. You want the TDS to be as close to 50 or lower for carnivorous plants (from the limited research I've done so far)

tbh I think that was "Ace pox", because thats exactly how it looks on my big AoS too. Its always got ~3 perfect looking leaves and then 1-2 older ones getting these yellow dots first, that start to cover the whole leaf.

I use coco coir instead of soil in my aroid mix and add worm castings for organic fertiliser. I started using coco on the recommendation of a botanist friend of mine and as a way to try to limit pests. Had a bad bout with infested soil and just went off it completely 🙈 also tangzhong is AMAZING! I made sweet cardamom buns (a scandi thing) with it and the texture was out of this world. so soft and fluffy, so moist and they stayed that way for a long time - 10/10 👌🤌

Leaf cleaned while watching. Oddly enough, when my (common) plants have grown big, I find myself losing interest in them. It's the challenge of growing them from small to glow up, with all the anxieties and trouble shooting and successful rehabbing that I enjoy the most. Keeps me interested and engaged. I love it!!

Summer glory is a hybrid of (gloriosum x (mccolley hybrid)). The one that is gloriosum x lynamii is called pink glory. I have seen Summer glory in person, and at least in the states, it is super cheap and found at garden centers now. Pink glory is the one that isn't as easy to find.

Hiii✨ Two questions for you… 1. Do you use a stronger dilution of great white than the packaging recommends? Mine is never that dark so I’m concerned I’m doing something wrong!! 😢 2. What is the reason for cutting the leaves off but not the full petiole? I can definitely understand if there’s growth coming from the base, but otherwise? Noticed both you and Sherm’ do that, so just wondering your reasoning! Thank youuu!
