Eke! Justin, you scared me when you were cutting the top of that container. Glad you were able to get it off with ease. The Angraecums look beautiful. Love how you were gentle with the Leonis when you were removing the wet soil. Can't wait to see them when they bloom! Enjoyed the video!

Thanks Nita, thanks for watching. I don’t make videos as much as I used here on KZbin but I always like when I get comments like this.

It's amazing those plants did as well as they did in that soil. Glad you repotted them. Saw one of the kitties helping 🤓 haven't seen them for awhile. Hope second shift works well for you, I always liked that shift when I was your age 😆

Hey Preston, yea she was in my greenhouse with me lol. I so had to get that plant out of that potting soil. I don’t know how that orchid did so well planted in that medium. It’s crazy but yes im trying to get used to 2nd shift. It’s such a big change for me right now.

I just love that Angraecum leonis. I've been up cycling my plastic bottles for my collection too. Hope the new shift works well for you. Have a wonderful night/day.

Hey Julie, yes Angraecum Leonis has to be one of my favorite orchids to grow. For me I just really like the foliage and the blooms hands down. I’m trying to get used to 2nd shift right now but it’s definitely a change. I hope that your doing well my friend.

Hi Justin they look great. That's one thing about growing orchids not everyone do the same growing methods and that's ok too. Enjoy your new orchids additions stay safe and happy growing : ) Reah

They were all probably bought in like that. Just like I would be buying in and assuming there would be a plug in the pot. Or potted in soil… unfortunately many wouldn’t bother to repot and just try to get rid of new bought-in plants. Oh well. Glad you got it out of it. That’s part of Customer side job then. 🤣

Justin, I love your channel. I used to live in Connecticut and had quite good luck with orchids there. Now living in The Bahamas, you’d think it would be easier here. Not for me. We have very hot summers and falls here and drying wind. I’m making progress, though, in keeping them happy and blooming. I want to acquire some vandas and will be installing a misting system. Oh, by the way, I also have a twin sister! Lol. Right now I have luck with brassavolas , cattleyas and phalaenopsis (spellcheck is having a field day changing my text), it turned “ vandas” into “vandals”. Lol I also have some native species that are doing well is. Merry Xmas!

Hey Laurence, thanks to the nice comment. I would think that growing orchids down in the Bahamas would be easier but I have idea. My advice would be to try and grow orchids that do well down there in your environment. I would think brassavolas would love that southern tropical climate that you live in. Vanda’s would probably do well for you too. I’m on the same page with you as far as installing a misting system. I work a lot and being able to have a good misting system where my plants get watered some during the day would definitely benefit all my plants in this greenhouse. Anyways thanks for watching and dropping a comment. I hope that you have a great holiday season as well.

Yes, we have some amazing native orchids. I’m not as familiar with them as I would like, but I will learn more from those who know.

I think that's an Angraecum Sesquipedale aka Darwin Orchid. They do get a little sulky when repotted. Will give you hand sized flowers at Christmas.

Gorgeous flower & plants. Can Angraecums be grown like other vandas or do they need the bark? I do not own one yet but one never knows. Enjoy your new shift & the holidays. See you next video.

Hey Jo, it really depends on the Angraecum, I would say for the bigger types husk or bark in a pot would probably work best. But however lots of people can mount them and grow them well on mounts if they have the right growing environment. There is always somebody out there that finds an interesting way to grow orchids that you wouldn’t normally see. It’s the hobby I guess. Thanks for watching my video and dropping a comment my friend. I also hope that you and yours have a great Christmas.
