I actually just got a Boelen's Python less than 2 months ago, but it wasn't 15,000$ it was still pretty spendy but soooooo worth it!!! I normally get female snakes, but this males color's, patterns, & details just really caught my eye more than the female, I've been on the hunt for a Boelen's Python basically my entire life, or the second I first saw a picture of one, & everywhere I've been on the waiting list for close to 20 years so since I was in elementary school haha, but I always planned to get a "Female Boelen's Python", but they finally got one so I literally raced there but they had both a male and a female, but the male just stood out alot more, it was born in 2022 & is extremely trigger happy, if you don't get bit at least a couple dozen times by holding him for 30mins or so then hes definitely in a great mood lol, so since he was just born last year, hes still pretty small, over 1ft but less than 2ft, so I still have plenty of time to work with him & teach him to hopefully bite less because once he's full grown it's not very fun to get bit by, it won't be as bad as other species, but they definitely aren't known as very tame snake species, so hopefully in 5-10 years & a few billion bites later hopefully he will be as tamed as that beautiful one your holding:) ❤❤❤ A Boelen's Python is definitely one my my top 2-3 favorite none venomous species of snake, & a Male emerald, or green Basilisk is definitely my favorite top 1-3 favorite lizards in the world, but as for venomous species that is much harder to choose even my top 10 favorites they are ALL SO ABSOLUTLY INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL & STUNNING IN THEIR OWN WAYS!!!😍♥️😍♥️😍 I'm so happy that you talked about a Boelen's Python, & how you also showed how you can buy reptiles at an expo out of state, & still get it home safely if you are flying instead of driving!!! That's EXTREMELY HELPFUL, I WAS LITTERALLY LOOKING THAT ANSWER UP BEFORE I FINISHED WATCHING THIS ENTIRE VIDEO, SO TRULY THANK YOU THAT ANSWERED EXTREMELY WHAT WAS STOPPING ME FROM BUYING REPTILES OUT OF STATE WERE ITS JUST TO FAR TO DRIVE THERE & BACK, PLUS YOU SHOWED ONE IF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL NONE VENOMOUS SNAKES IN THE WORLD TO ME ANYWAY, THIS VIDEO WAS VERY HELPFUL & IVE WATCHED IT A FEW TIMES SO FAR BECAUSE I ABSOLUTLY LOVE SEEING DIFFERENT BREEDS, SPECIES, & GENETICS IN DIFFERENT REPTILES, THIS WAS SO AWSOME THANK YOU!!! Fun facts: Calabars are actually boas, and are 1 of the 3 known boa species that lay eggs, the others being the Arabian & Saharan sand boas. They also have the toughest skin of any snake, great because they raid rodent nests & are constantly being attacked by rodent moms. I keep 5 myself & hope to produce captuve bred babies some day.

That's probably Drymobius m. maydis out of Nicaragua , the speckled racers from texas Drymobius m. margaritiferus are the most beautiful of all the sub species , have to search the rio grande valley area to find them
