For my northern bts i used bio dude's terra firma kit with striped isopods, springails, and cyprus mulch topper. I put a piece of egg crate along the whole bottom and zip tied cut down hydroponic net cups to keep her from digging up the plants. Has worked ok. Her tunnels all go around the plant cups so she doesn't disturb the roots, but she trampled the prayer plant and broke off some of the aloe leaves.

I'm pretty late to the party but excellent setup! I see most people using a drainage layer for their enclosures, especially given that Indo's need a high humidity and that would lead to excess water. How did you avert from utilizing a drainage layer?

So you have the lamps on to p of the enclosure, I have mine inside, you don’t think I need to do that? It looks great. I’m thinking March for the ZenHabitat- great job💙🦎💙

Since this one is only 16 inches, it works better to just place the heat on top of the screen! Either way can work as long as you reach the proper temperature and Ferguson zone with uvb 💕

Question my cousin wants a blue tongue skink would and they like the dig is there any way we can keep it from overturning there plants and since it a bioactive set-up can I put isopods in there.
@reptiliangarden4 жыл бұрын
That’s a challenge with these guys. It’s why I personally don’t use live plants. If you can block off the plants somehow with rocks or elevate/mount them somewhere else in the enclosure it can work.
