This is some of the best drill I have seen. I can see why they won. For only 2 bass drums, they can really be heard! Snare line could use some tightening up though.

I was in this place in 1998 as a cadet undergoing training at TB3, lived in the barracks of Michael company. The group commandant was Brig. RS Grewal at that time. The best part of the training was building a Bailey's bridge for the first time at night. Subedar Chinnathambi was the instructor of bridge building.

Number of battles fought by both madras sappers and infantary is very. They have fought in every corner of the world. The General who defeated Napoleon in Waterloo used to command madras troops.

Actually the song you heared in the beginning has some very large historical significance. It's not in hindi either it's in urdu. "Kadam kadam badhye ja" was the marching song of Indian National Army of Netaji Subhash Chandra bose. It is said that, after hearing to this song even the wounded and injured soldiers started to move and fight. Hence it acted like a morale booster.
