One thing that would be cool is to show one or two sample lists towards the end of these videos to put into perspective a semi-competitive list with the units you just ranked. Really enjoyed the video!

love the rankings and the video was great but I disagree with where you placed anakin on the list. You correctly analyzed that anakin is strong support and in that role I think he's atleast an A. Why? 1.) Examplair + Defensive/offensive stance + hero of the clone wars = Anakin can share 2 dodge or 2 aim tokens + 2 surge tokens per turn at range 2 (LOS) and still have his second action. Whereas Padame will have to use both of her actions to generate 4 shareable tokens ( 1 aim + 2 dodges + 1 surge) + (2 aims + 1 dodge + 1 surge). In my opinion Anakin is as good if not better than Padame as a support plus he wields a Saber;) 2.) Saber throw + Pierce 3 + This is where the fun begins = early game Anakin plays exactly like Obi-Wan which is similar to a linebacker in football. You keep him in the back line sharing tokens while using his second action to get him into position for the next round and late game but once shit hits the fan you activate anakins 1 pip and now you have a range 2 "BEAM" (3 red pierce 3) and a nasty melee (5 red pierce 3). Oh and if those dice miss you can use offensive stance for 2 aims! Anakin is far better than Obi at melee! 3.) Don't bring his 2 pip. It's awkward and unnecessary Anakin is an absolute monster when played in this role, but it requires meticulous planning and near perfect positioning. Btw I got this idea from you when you did your anakin commander overview. I've play tested this about 10 times against 3 different opponents. Love your content, don't stop!

I agree. He has potential to be Obi and Padme balled into one. I just need to see if he can justify the price tag that comes with that alongside the lack of command cards. Hopefully he’ll restock before 2021 is over and I’ll get to playlist him.

Hollywood Wargaming Yup he’s an absolute unit and makes your clones nigh unkillable, not to mention his absolutely crazy command cards. I might be overreacting here but I believe he’s high A tier.

Explain your strategy with vigilance and exemplar. I dont see it

Vigilance allows you to hold onto Dodge tokens at the end of a turn and carry them over to the next. You can choose to keep either 1 dodge token on 1 friendly Trooper or 1 dodge token onto 2 friendly Core trooper units. The text also says [a friendly trooper] not [another friendly trooper] which means Padme can use Vigilance on herself to retain a dodge token. That dodge token will then stay on her into next turn and any unit at range 1-2 can make use of it. So you WILL have a dodge at the ready even if your opponent goes first. If Padme activates without spending that she can then use Quick Thinking which will give her 2 dodges and 1 aim that can be distributed as you wish at range 1-2, and still have an extra action to take another aim, dodge, or make an attack. I ran a game with Rex and Padme sporting Vigilance and it was quite effective.

@@HollywoodWargaming I think he meant the expansion to the phase 1 unit. (the rocket-launcher, sniper etc.) I would love to see a ranking of unit expansions! Echo, Fives, medic etc. There are so few, that a video perhaps could cover all factions.

@@androglioses Oh sure. This is based on units alone, not upgrades. That being said I almost did make this an expansion review video which would have covered the box sets rather than the units they include. Still, I'll say this: IMO the Specialist Upgrade box has basically nullified the Clone Trooper Expansion Upgrade. The Pierce gun and Rocket Launcher are both worse than the DC-15 and Z6, The Clone Captain is just kind of bad, and the Specialist (while useful) is a bit expensive for what he does in comparison with Phase IIs. I think the Specialist upgrade is just significantly better than the Clone Trooper Upgrade. The same can not be said for the droids though. I think they perfectly balanced the two upgrades in that faction. For the GAR specialist upgrade, go check out my recent video on them! I went over the expansion in detail. Lastly, Echo and Fives are phenomenal and make the ARC Troopers an absolute must buy for anyone collecting clones. Fives is especially golden.
