Toni & Dean were fcukin amazing 👏 Lush, Garbage, Skunk Anansie, Sneaker Pimps, Dubstar, Throwing Muses, Cranes, St Etienne plus The Sugarcubes and The Cardigans had been along beforehand . One of my favs from back in the 90s. Saffron was a gorgeous woman with attitude and I always saw Republic as successors to Transvision Vamp, with the same pop/punk style fronted by a stunning young lady. Unfortunately they only lasted a couple of years before dropping off the radar, although I believe they are still going. They should have been huge given the success of other female fronted pop/punk/rock bands around at the time like Garbage, Elastica, Hole and many others, Republica deserved to be right up their too.
