The educated tend to be more democratic because the colleges and universities tend to push democratic views and frown upon republican views. I’m neither republican or democratic. There are certain things I like and dislike from each party.

The United States is an oligarchic two-party duopoly, not a democracy. The differences between Republicans and Democrats are mostly superficial, and based mostly on social issues. On the issues that most Americans care about, they are quite in alignment in their support of the rich and powerful.

Bro you wanna see an oligarchy go to Russia or China. We live in a presidential democracy where companies can very well get ass blasted for breaking US law This would never happen in an oligarchy

Good try on making a non-partisan video. It is valuable analysis. A couple things though can be brought up. In your donor slide there is no mention of unions themselves. I know you elude to it with "well organized groups" but siting the ACLU (a non-profit) and not labor unions, especially public sector unions, is a bit hiding the ball considering unions are the biggest political donors out there beyond any corporation or wealthy donor. The spending questions brought up, how people will move from a "republican" to a "democrat" position seems to be based on how the question is framed, would people move in position from right to left if they knew how much the government is already spending on education, healthcare, etc. This can occur moving the other direction as well such as "are you in favor of medicare for all?" answer yes, or "are you in favor of spending $10 trillion on medicare for all, and increasing your taxes?" answer no. When talking about spending or policy how it's framed makes a big difference. These types of polls are, in my opinion, not useful when gauging public sentiment. Also, please correct me if I'm wrong, any images of anger or violence you showed in this piece was of the right or Trump supporters. No antifa, no BLM riots? As much as the experts you brought in on this video want to seem non-partisan, I would bet they are both Democrats considering Pol Sci professors are 8.2:1 in a D:R ratio. All in all some decent analysis, I appreciate the attempt to encourage people to reach across the divide and try to heal some of the wounds we are suffering from right now.

Thanks for your thoughts. You bring up some valid points that in retrospect would have been great to ask and include in this video.

@@ThoughtMonkeyhq I understand all things on such a vast and complicated subject cannot be put into a 15-20 video and also be focused enough to make a valuable point. Love that you are trying to open up the possibility for more conversation. It’s hard to make a video like this and not make everyone mad. So thank you for that.

This is extremely biased. Democrats use minorities, and then throw them back. The Republicans are the party of inclusion.

You're not wrong. It's easy to see that this is clearly using the left's worldview to discuss the left right divide. The clearest example is the quote of EXTREME FAR LEFT radical, Noam Chomsky. To describe the right. Nobody on the right to describe the left.

The intricacies of this go far beyond the Right vs Left paradigm. The main issue is that the Uni-Party (both Democrats and Republicans have been infiltrated and serve the special interest groups, foreign influences specifically C|-|1N4, military industrial complex. This is proven by looking at bipartisan legislation that’s passed, major donors, etc. The Republicans are very lazy and lackadaisical. The Democrats are hypocritical at every turn. I implore all of you to go down the rabbit hole and find the truth. The truth isn’t subjective, opinions of the truth are subjective. And trust me it’s stranger than fiction. Great video...you barely scratched the surface... Peace.

Omg Trump. You do realize that you elected Trump right? If the Democrats and RINO republicans hadn't shit on the Constitution at every turn, Trump would never have been elected. Also you speak of the college educated; most of my friends have degrees. We are college educated, not college indoctrinated, there is a difference. For instance, I know from listening to this video that you are left. Prove me wrong.

Wow what a biased load of crap, here I thought I was going to find a video that actually explains the real differences between the two cults and how they got started to my younger teenage kids. Instead I get a video full of backhanded compliments against the right and obvious pandering to the left. It was subtle but I picked up on all of your little innuendos about how much more educated and politically correct the Democratic party is than the Republican party. And I like how you slipped the blame on Trump in there as well for the divide of the country as if that hasn't been going on for decades under both sides. It's a shame that you didn't include the clear facts within the video that both parties are completely corrupted and led by their oligarch masters. That both sides are basically political cults with gatekeepers that have divided the nation with things like identity politics and distraction through the media. Both sides are completely wrong and outdated and need to be abolished.
